Within the framework of July 20 celebrations, the “50th Anniversary Exhibition” will be opened at the Turkish Cypriot History, Culture and National Struggle Museum.
Preparations for the exhibition to be opened on July 19 are ongoing and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu examined the preparations on site.
In order to emphasize the meaning and importance of the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation and to celebrate the success of the operation that brought peace to the island, the “50th Anniversary Exhibition” is being opened by the Turkish Ministry of National Defence in cooperation with the Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment and the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Lefkoşa.
Objects selected from the military museums affiliated to the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye and museums in Cyprus and objects selected from the Ministry of National Defence’s Visual Production, Photographs and Films Centre Command will be on display at the exhibition.
Among the objects to be exhibited are items belonging to Martyr Captain Cengiz Topel, photos of the murdered wife and children of Nihat İlhan, photos and belongings of heroic Turkish soldiers who were killed and the belongings of the Turkish Cypriot Mujahids.
The exhibition, which will be opened on July 19 at the Cyprus Turkish Cypriot History, Culture and National Struggle Museum, can be visited until the 30th of September.
