Department of Meteorology has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for isolated heavy thunderstorms, in effect from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm local time on Wednesday.
According to the warning, thunderstorms are expected to affect mainly mountainous and some inland areas, with the possibility of hail during storms. Rainfall intensity may range between 35 and 55 millimeters per hour, potentially leading to localized flooding or hazardous driving conditions.
Authorities advise the public to remain alert and take extra precautions, particularly in areas such as mountains, forests, and open terrain, as outdoor activities could be disrupted.
