Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly, Ziya Öztürkler, stressed that educational cooperation between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has reached an important stage.
Öztürkler also noted that the two countries were in close cooperation not only in various fields but also in education.
The Speaker of Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler addressed the topic of educational cooperation between Türkiye and the TRNC during his meeting with delegations from Girne American University and Girne College.
Öztürkler stated that the launch of Girne Colleges in multiple provinces across Türkiye represented a major step for both countries and strengthened the deep-rooted educational ties between them.
Noting that Türkiye and the TRNC continued to maintain close cooperation in all areas, including education, he stressed that the flags of both nations would always wave side by side.
Highlighting that educational collaboration had reached a critical point, the Parliamentary Speaker added, “Our cooperation in education will continue to grow stronger.”
Chairman of Girne College, Ümit Kalkoda, also provided information about their initiatives and extended an invitation to Speaker Öztürkler to visit Türkiye.
