
A new era of affordable air travel between Türkiye and the TRNC has officially begun with the launch of the “ADA KIBRIS” project. Turkish Airlines (THY) and AJet signed a major agreement in Ercan today aimed at slashing ticket prices and boosting accessibility.

A key agreement was signed today with Turkish Airlines and AJet as part of the “ADA KIBRIS” project, marking a new step in easing air travel to the island.
Under the new partnership, THY Chairman Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat and officials from Turkish Airlines and AJet arrived in the TRNC this morning to attend the signing ceremony.
They were welcomed at Ercan Airport by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Deputy Prime Minister and Tourism Minister Fikri Ataoğlu, and Public Works and Transport Minister Erhan Arıklı.
Speaking at the signing, Prime Minister Üstel announced that a major step had been taken to ease air travel, emphasizing that ticket prices would be capped at ₺6,000 for flights to Türkiye, and that travel from London to the TRNC could now cost as little as €250.
President Ersin Tatar also addressed the importance of shuttle flights, highlighting that aviation investments would help elevate tourism and strengthen international awareness of the TRNC.
He stressed that expanded air links would be vital for promoting the country globally.brt
