Erhürman visits in Derince and Kaleburnu

The leader of the main opposition Republican Turkish Party (CTP) and Presidential candidate Tufan Erhürman continues his village visits.

As part of his tour, Erhürman met with residents in Derince and Kaleburnu.

Republican Turkish Party leader and Presidential candidate Tufan Erhürman visited the villages of Derince and Kaleburnu.

Speaking during the visits, Erhürman said that once elected, he will meet with all counterparts to secure the rights of the Turkish Cypriot people.

He stated that if elected President, he would engage in dialogue with governments to find solutions to domestic issues within the framework of his constitutional powers.

Erhürman noted that after October, the issue of “children born of mixed marriages” will be on the table, and he pledged to defend their rights in those discussions.

Reminding that there are children born in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus whose parents came from Türkiye, Erhürman argued that no steps had been taken regarding this problem during the past five-year term.
