A fire broke out Thursday morning in the Ciklos area of Kyrenia, burning approximately 8 acres of scrubland. The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined.
According to the Police Press Office, the fire was brought under control with the combined efforts of ground teams from the police, fire service, forestry department, civil defense, military units, and municipal crews, supported by a Security Forces Command helicopter.
Cooling operations are still underway at the site.
