
A seminar titled “Home Care for Bedridden, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s Patients” was held in collaboration between Girne American University (GAU) and the Lapta-Alsancak-Çamlıbel (LAÇ) Municipality.
The seminar emphasized the importance of home care, the sensitivity of patient individuals, and the need to pay attention to “what should be considered” for the care to be scientifically effective with the correct approaches.
According to a statement made by GAU, the event took place at the Gökay Boğaçhan Cultural Center of LAÇ Municipality. The first seminar, presented by GAU Faculty of Medicine Lecturer Uz. Dr. Hüseyin Cenkler, focused on “Home Care for Bedridden, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s Patients.”
In the second seminar, GAU Faculty of Health Sciences Lecturer and Specialist Physiotherapist Rigina Rakhmatova addressed the topic of “In-bed Exercises and Exercises for Dementia and Alzheimer’s Patients.”
The final speaker of the event, GAU Nursing School Lecturer Specialist Nurse Çiğdem Sığa, provided information on “Problems and Solution Proposals for Bedridden and Alzheimer’s Patients.”
The educational seminar was organized within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between Girne American University and LAÇ Municipality.
