In Larnaca, it was reported that unidentified individuals opened fire at a café owned by a 46-year-old Turkish Cypriot on Monday evening around 9:00 PM.
According to Fileleftheros newspaper, a masked individual fired shots at the café while four people were sitting inside and then fled the scene. The report noted that the shots were not directed towards the people inside, leading the police to believe that the intention was to intimidate rather than harm.
The newspaper stated that there were no injuries reported, only damage to the café’s windows. The owner, a Turkish Cypriot, reportedly told the police during questioning that he did not suspect anyone.
The article also alleges that the 46-year-old Turkish Cypriot has a criminal record and was mentioned in connection with the Ayça Alav murder case in the TRNC last December.
