Ataoğlu: Campaigns target sustainable growth in tourism

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu has underlined that efforts to strengthen the international recognition of the Ada Kıbrıs and VisitNCY.com brands are aimed at achieving sustainable growth in the TRNC tourism sector.

According to a statement from the Ministry’s Press Office, promotional campaigns carried out in partnership with Türkiye’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) have been continuing this year, particularly targeting the Turkish and UK markets.

The campaigns, launched in March and April, will run until the end of October, featuring advertisements on national TV channels, more than a thousand cinema screens across Türkiye, as well as digital platforms and social media outlets.

Minister Ataoğlu emphasized that the initiative seeks to showcase North Cyprus’ history, cultural heritage, natural beauty, and tourism potential to wider audiences both in Türkiye and globally.

He highlighted the importance of collaborations with Türkiye and stressed the added value of bringing international influencers to the island to share its attractions with their audiences.

“Our aim is to enhance the international visibility of Ada Kıbrıs and VisitNCY.com while securing sustainable growth in tourism,” Ataoğlu stated, adding that promotional and marketing campaigns will continue in different mediums to position the TRNC as a strong destination in world tourism.
