Lapta-Alsancak-Çamlıbel Mayor Fırat Ataser announced on his social media account that the stream rehabilitation works in Geçitköy are ongoing.
Ataser emphasized that they have undertaken a problem that has been awaiting a solution for many years, stating: “We have embarked on a major task; this longstanding problem has always been postponed. With God’s will, we will complete this work properly. Together, we are strong.”
The rehabilitation project, considered crucial for the safety and infrastructure of the region, aims to prevent potential flooding risks. The municipality noted that teams are working intensively to ensure the project is completed as planned.
