Atatürk was commemorated in Türkiye

The founder of the Republic of Türkiye, the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was honoured nationwide on the 86th anniversary of his passing.

Those wishing to pay tribute to Atatürk flocked to Anıtkabir and Dolmabahçe Palace.

A state ceremony was also held at Anıtkabir.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the state officials in attendance then proceeded to the Misak-ı Milli Tower where President Erdoğan signed the Anıtkabir Special Book.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was also commemorated with a ceremony in the room at Dolmabahçe Palace where he passed away 86 years ago.

Additionally, a ceremony was held at Atatürk’s birthplace in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The commemoration drew significant attention from visitors from Türkiye and various European countries.
