
Organized with the aim of preserving Northern Cyprus’s rich cultural heritage and bringing the unifying power of art to the public, the traditional Çamlıbel Culture and Arts Festival is being held for the 9th time this year. The festival is jointly organized by the Çamlıbel Mukhtar’s Office, Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Municipality (LAÇ), Çamlıbel Sports Club, ÇAMSEV, and various civil society organizations. It takes place on August 2–3, 2025, at the Çamlıbel Festival Area.
A Colorful Opening Night
The festival opened with an enthusiastic ceremony on Saturday evening, August 2, at 19:00. Following the opening speeches, the LAÇ Municipality Folk Dance Group took the stage at 19:15, performing traditional Cypriot folk dances and receiving great applause from the audience.
At 20:00, Mustafa Karabulut took the stage for an unforgettable Ahmet Kaya Night. Performing some of Ahmet Kaya’s most beloved songs, Karabulut delivered an emotional performance. At 21:00, Group OTANTİK energized the crowd with their lively set, closing out the night on a high note.
A Sunday Evening Full of Art and Handicrafts Awaits
The second day of the festival, Sunday, August 3, is also expected to be packed with events. Starting at 19:00, local product and handicraft stalls will be set up, attracting significant attention from visitors. Handmade ceramic and pottery works, as well as live workshops, are also expected to see high participation.
