The leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) in Türkiye Özgür Özel is in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to attend the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Cyprus Peace Operation.
Özel and his delegation were welcomed by the leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Tufan Erhürman and his delegation.
Upon their arrival to the TRNC the CHP leader Özgür Özel and his delegation visited the mausoleums of Dr. Fazıl Küçük, the Leader of the Turkish Cypriot Community, and Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş .
Today, the CHP delegation met with the CTP delegation.
Özel and his delegation will be received by the Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel later in the day.
