Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides had a short discussion with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan after a dinner hosted in Geneva by the UN Secretary-General in the context of the informal meeting on Cyprus in a broader format.
The dinner with the heads of all five delegations participating in the informal meeting, ended at 20:30 (local time) but Christodoulides and negotiator of the Greek Cypriot side, Menelaos Menelaou remained in the room, as did Fidan and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey, Mehmet Kemal Bozay.
CNA was informed by a competent UN source that President Christodoulides and Fidan remained in the room to discuss.
