Cooperation in tourism was discussed at a workshop organized in Girne.
The event was attended by nearly 40 tourism agencies working with SunExpress Airlines in the German market and agencies from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment organized a workshop event in collaboration with the Cyprus Turkish Tourism and Travel Agencies Association and SunExpress Airlines.
The event, held at the Girne Acapulco Hotel, was attended by approximately 40 agency officials of SunExpress Airlines working in the German market, as well as local agencies affiliated with KITSAB from the TRNC.
Various speeches and presentations were made during the event, with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu highlighting the importance of tourism in the economy of North Cyprus and emphasizing the region’s unique attractions to German tourists.
The event aimed to foster mutual information exchange, strong partnerships and increase the volume of business in the tourism sector.
The Deputy Prime Minister also noted the role of tourism in promoting cultural understanding and expressed gratitude for SunExpress Airlines’ support in improving accessibility to Northern Cyprus.
The event was seen as an opportunity to showcase the charm of the region to a wider audience. BRT
