The General Secretary of the main opposition Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Asım Akansoy made evaluations on the main topics on the country’s agenda.
He also underlined that they are ready for early elections.
The General Secretary of the Republican Turkish Party Asım Akansoy took part in a television program and evaluated Maria Angela Holguin, the Personal Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations stance on the Cyprus problem.
He said that Holguin observed the balances and managed the process well in her assessment of the Cyprus problem.
Akansoy also claimed that the attitude of President Ersin Tatar was far from compromise.
Pointing to the problems related to property, Akansoy noted that the Greek Cypriot side would take advantage of this issue in order to use the existing problem in its favour and questioned what the President has done in return.
Underlining that the CTP has never shied away from dialogue, Akansoy also reminded the need for early elections as soon as possible.
“We must go to early elections. We must get rid of the administration that is incapable of governing this country. We are ready for early elections” said Akansoy.
