According to the Meteorology Department’s weather forecast report dated Friday, December 19, the region is expected to remain under the influence of a high-pressure system and a cold, humid air mass.
Air temperatures are expected to be 2 to 4 degrees above seasonal averages, while winds are forecast to blow at moderate strength from the north and west.
Today, the weather is expected to be mostly clear, becoming partly cloudy over time.
The highest air temperatures will generally range between 16 and 22 degrees Celsius in inland areas and along the coast.
In the capital, Nicosia, the air temperature is expected to be around 21 degrees Celsius.
