Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu has condemned Israel’s recent attacks on Iran, describing them as unacceptable.
In a statement released by the Deputy Prime Ministry, Ataoğlu characterised the strikes as unlawful, lacking any legitimate justification, and posing a threat to humanity. He stressed that such actions are incompatible with international norms and must be rejected by the global community.
Condemning what he called “inhumane initiatives that endanger regional security,” Ataoğlu emphasised the urgent need to halt what he described as “this lawlessness and heartlessness.”
He reiterated that peace and stability in the region can only be achieved through adherence to legal and ethical principles.

Meanwhile, the TRNC Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the Turkish Cypriot delegation currently in Iran is safe and being hosted at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Tehran.
According to the ministry’s statement, the delegation had been expected to return to the country today. However, commercial flights were suspended following Israel’s airstrikes on Iran, delaying their departure.
Efforts are underway to ensure the delegation’s safe return as soon as possible, the ministry added, emphasising that all necessary steps are being taken in coordination with relevant authorities.
The TRNC delegation, consisting of National Unity Party MP Ahmet Savaşan, Dr. Remzi Gardiyanoğlu, and Dr. Hakan Ataç, was in Iran to attend the 3rd ECO Health Tourism Conference and Expo held in the city of Hamadan.
