
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu said that the Turkish Cypriot people will never forget the lives lost in the earthquake and will not allow them to be forgotten.
Ataoğlu issued a message to mark the anniversary of the 6th of February earthquake and emphasized that the struggle for justice will continue.
In his message the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, Democratic Party Chairman Fikri Ataoğlu stated that “The pain of February 6 is in our hearts.”
“Our Champion Angels, our brilliant children are the pride of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. They followed a dream and traveled to Türkiye, Adıyaman with the unifying power of sports. But unfortunately, on that dark night, they were trapped under the rubble of Isias Hotel. Yet they always had victory in their eyes and hope in their joy. Now their names are engraved in our hearts,” said Ataoğlu.
Stating that the Turkish Cypriot people will never forget the lives lost in the earthquake and will not allow them to be forgotten, Ataoğlu reiterated that the struggle for justice will continue. brt
