The Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair opened on Wednesday.
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) took its place in the fair with the concept of Island Cyprus.
“We continue to open up to the world with sustainable, innovative and quality tourism services,” said Fikri Ataoğu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment.
The 28th EMITT Tourism Fair in Istanbul has opened and the Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment is promoting TRNC tourism with the Island Cyprus concept.
Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoğlu emphasized that tourism goes beyond economic development and plays a strategic role in promoting culture, history, and natural beauty.
He highlighted the unique natural landscapes, historical heritage, rich cuisine, and warm hospitality of the TRNC.
Ataoğlu mentioned the support for various forms of tourism, including nature, health, culture and gastronomy tourism.
He stated that the Island-Cyprus brand is receiving positive feedback and they aim to showcase the tourism potential of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to both domestic and international audiences.
Ataoğlu also emphasized that environmental sensitivity and sustainable development are key aspects of their tourism policies, where they focus on innovative and quality tourism services. brt
