Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has expressed his desire to see the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) gain full membership in the Organization of Turkic States.
Before departing for the NATO Leaders Summit in the United States, President Erdoğan made statements highlighting key issues on the agenda, including the atrocities in Gaza and the Cyprus issue.
Erdoğan emphasized that the TRNC is considered a full member of the Turkic states in Türkiye’s view.
“Countries like Azerbaijan have also aligned with our position. The TRNC was present at the last Shusha Summit. We want to see the TRNC as a full member of the Organization of Turkic States,” Erdoğan stated.
