Minister of Finance Özdemir Berova is carrying out important contacts in Ankara this week.
On Thursday he met with the Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat.
Evaluating his Ankara visit to BRT, Berova stated that they spent two productive days in terms of commercial activities.
Berova said that one of the highlights of his visit was a meeting with Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat.
During this meeting, they discussed the improvement of customs procedures and the enhancement of the automation system.
In order to facilitate these goals, two X-ray devices have been prepared by Türkiye and will be installed in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the coming weeks.
Trade Minister Bolat showed his support for this initiative.
Berova said that the devices will be put into service by the end of June or the first week of July and that they will be inviting the Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat to the opening ceremony.
Minister Berova emphasized the importance of trade activities between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and noted that he was accompanied by representatives from various trade organizations during his meetings.
The visit to Ankara was deemed successful and fruitful, with Minister Berova expressing his satisfaction with the progress made and indicating that further collaborations and contacts will continue in the future.brt
