It is essential for our citizens to show necessary sensitivity to not light fires during these dates. Especially for citizens traveling in their vehicles on main roads, forested, and wooded areas, it is necessary not to engage in any action that could cause a fire from their vehicles (especially not discarding cigarette butts from vehicles).
2- It is very important for our people to report any sign of smoke they see without delay to the Forestry Department at the toll-free Forest Fire Reporting phone number ‘Alo 177’ or to the fire department at the fire report number ‘Alo 199’ for early intervention. 3- In the event of a fire, it is the legal obligation and duty of citizenship for the public to join firefighting efforts without invitation and to mobilize all possible resources. 4- Individuals engaging in agricultural activities near forests must take necessary precautions against the risk of fire.”
