Flights to and from Israel cancelled, several international flights diverted to Cyprus

Flights between Israel and the airports of Larnaca and Paphos have been cancelled, while several flights from Europe and America were diverted to Cyprus following the overnight Israeli attack on targets in Iran.

According to informations from Hermes Airports, the managing company of Cyprus’ airports, flights to and from Israel, to and from the airports of Larnaca and Paphos, were cancelled after Israel launched an attack on Iran.

Additionally, a significant number of flights from Europe and America were diverted and landed at both Larnaca and Paphos airports.

Passengers from the aircraft disembarked and are currently in the terminal areas of Larnaca and Paphos airports, with many being transferred to hotels.

The same sources indicated that the airport management company was able to accommodate all requests for flight diversions. To better manage the situation, the Crisis Management Center at Larnaca Airport has been activated.

It is noted that all other flights to and from Cyprus’ two airports continue as planned.
