The National Unity Party (UBP) General Secretary Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, who attended meetings in Cambodia with an official invitation for the International Asian Political Parties Conference, evaluated his contacts to the BRT.
Hasipoğlu said, “The world does not only consist of Europe. As the UBP, we will increase our foreign contacts in Asia and other regions as well.”
The UBP General Secretary Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu expressed gratitude towards the Parliament of Cambodia, the Cambodian People’s Party, and the Presidency of Asian Political Parties for inviting them to the 12th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).
Hasipoğlu mentioned that the invitation was the result of personal initiatives from the host Cambodian People’s Party and the General Secretariat of the Asian Union of Political Parties.
He also stated that they will now regularly participate in these meetings.
During the assembly, they had the opportunity to address the general assembly and meet with the Prime Minister of Cambodia, as well as holding bilateral meetings with political parties to share their views.
Hasipoğlu expressed satisfaction in increasing the visibility of the Turkish Cypriot people and increasing foreign contacts with not only European but also Asian countries.
He concluded by mentioning that the next meeting will be in South Korea and emphasized their commitment to continuing the UBP’s process of opening up to foreign countries at the political level in Asia and other regions.BRT
