Hot and humid weather is expected to intensify across the country starting today, according to the Meteorology Department, which has issued a warning urging the public to avoid staying outdoors for extended periods during midday.
The Meteorology Department announced that from 24 to 30 June, the region will be under the influence of a low-pressure system and a hot, relatively humid air mass.
Temperatures are forecast to range between 38–41°C in inland areas and 31–34°C along coastal regions.
Due to the elevated temperatures and humidity levels, the Department has reiterated its warning for people to avoid prolonged exposure to open-air environments, especially during peak midday hours.
