The Mehmetçik Büyükkonuk Municipality kicked off the summer season with a lively and colorful event.
Children and young adults from the region came together at the “Hello Summer Festival”, held at the Mehmetçik Festival Area, for a day filled with fun and excitement.
Speaking at the festival’s opening, Mayor Fatma Çimen Tuğlu said the event was organized to foster a spirit of unity and solidarity among the local youth and children, in line with the principles of socially conscious municipal work.
“The value we place on our youth and children is the most meaningful investment for the future,” Tuğlu stated.
“We want you to know that we’re here for you not just today, but always. Every idea and every dream you have is precious to us,” she added.
Children and young adults enjoyed activities such as a foam party, rodeo rides, gladiator games, and giant football challenges.
DJ performances, professional acrobatic shows, and stage acts also drew great interest from the crowd.
The event wasn’t just about entertainment — local producers from the region also had the opportunity to showcase and sell their goods at dedicated stalls, adding a community-oriented touch to the celebration.
