The United by Pride march was organized in the buffer zone.
Participants raised a collective voice of solidarity against division during the march.
In a statement, Queer Cyprus Association said that participants from both the north and south came together for peace, justice, and freedom, “raising a united voice against division with music, dance, and solidarity.”
The march began simultaneously from Kuğulu Park in the north of Lefkoşa and Freedom Square in the south, with participants meeting in the buffer zone at Ledra Palace.
The event featured drag performances, dance shows, live music, and speeches by human rights defenders.
In its statement, Queer Cyprus Association emphasized “United by Pride is not only a celebration; it is also an act of resistance carried out with colors, voices, and togetherness against the pains of the past, the injustices of today, and the shattered hopes.”
