Kalkınlı elderly care facility reopens

The newly renovated and modernized Kalkanlı Life Retirement Home, was officially reopened with a ceremony attended by prominent figures.

In his address, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel emphasized that his government prioritizes projects that meet the needs of the public, noting that the Kalkanlı Life Home initiative is a prime example of this approach.

Prime Minister Üstel highlighted that the completion of the Kalkanlı Life Home Retirement Home project demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving social infrastructure.

Güzelyurt Mayor Mahmut Özçınar, who also spoke at the event, stressed the importance of the renovation, underscoring that the continued development of this facility is vital for the region.

He praised the care with which the upgrades were carried out, noting that the project’s long-term success would greatly benefit the local community.

In his speech, Minister of Labour and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu shared that since taking office, he has frequently visited the Kalkanlı Life Home, recognizing the necessity of the work being done there.

He thanked Prime Minister Üstel for his dedication to the project and encouraged everyone to visit the facility, emphasizing that it will continue to grow and strengthen with the support of the community.

Prime Minister Üstel, in his remarks, highlighted the collaboration between the TRNC government and Türkiye, especially in completing projects that had been stalled for various reasons. He stated that his administration is committed to advancing projects like the Kalkanlı Life Home, which directly address the needs of the people.

Acknowledging the inevitability of aging, Üstel emphasized the importance of such facilities to ensure that the elderly live in comfort and dignity.
