KTTO delegation holds meetings with European Commission in Brussels

A delegation from the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO), led by President Turgay Deniz, conducted a series of meetings with officials from the European Commission. The discussions focused on trade under the Green Line Regulation and financial assistance programs for the Turkish Cypriot community.

According to a statement from the KTTO, the delegation comprised President Turgay Deniz, Board Member Omaç Cin, and Deputy Secretary-General Mustafa Ergüven. They met with Elisa Ferreira, European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, to discuss trade activities regulated under the Green Line Regulation and the financial assistance provided to the Turkish Cypriot community.

The KTTO delegation also held talks with Angelina Eichhorst, Director of the European External Action Service’s European Affairs Division.

The meeting addressed current developments in relations between the European Union and the Turkish Cypriot community.

Furthermore, the delegation met with Judit Rozsa, Director-General of the Directorate-General for Cohesion and Reforms, and Mario Nava, Director-General of the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, to discuss various issues.

During their visit to Brussels, President Turgay Deniz and his team also paid courtesy visits to Bekir Uysal, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Belgium, and Faruk Kaymakcı, Türkiye’s Permanent Representative to the EU.
