The Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Municipality shared a statement on its social media account regarding the events organized by students of Lapta Yavuzlar High School as part of the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
According to the municipality’s statement, students from Lapta Yavuzlar High School held a cortege march toward the Alsancak Atatürk Monument. The enthusiastic march was followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the monument. The ceremony continued with students reciting poems reflecting the significance of the day and performing traditional folk dances, which were met with great appreciation.
The statement by the municipality included the following message:
“We wholeheartedly celebrate the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day of all our young people, who are the guarantee of our future, and respectfully and gratefully commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all our heroes.”
