A 61-year-old man was assaulted by three masked individuals in the yard of his home in Germasogeia last night.
The incident occurred around 10 pm when a power outage prompted the victim to investigate. Upon exiting the house, he was confronted by the assailants who attacked him without provocation and sprayed him in the eyes.
The victim’s cries for help alerted a neighbour, causing the attackers to flee the scene.
Police are investigating the incident and have collected evidence from the crime scene.
No other injuries or theft were reported. (in cyprus)
