Police yesterday arrested a 41-year-old man at Larnaca Airport under a European arrest warrant for fraud charges.
The man arrived shortly after noon at Larnaca on a flight from a third country.
During a subsequent check, it was found that the 41-year-old was wanted by German authorities in connection with financial fraud offences committed in Germany and other European countries between 2016 and 2023.
The 41-year-old was arrested and has been taken into custody.
Today, he is expected to be brought before the Larnaca District Court to begin the process of his extradition to Germany.
