The Mayor of Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Municipality, Fırat Ataser, announced on his social media account that the municipality has started winter preparations in the region. Ataser stated, “We will break and demolish, but we will do it the right way. Because this winter will be very harsh.” His full statement is as follows:
“We are heading to the starting point of the Livada stream, which they said we couldn’t touch. The front of Livada has been blocked, the road was built, and a building was constructed in front of the stream, all since the 1974 era. As a municipality, we are determined to demolish and remove these obstacles, to clear the way in front of it. We will break and demolish, but we will do it the right way. Because this winter will be very harsh.”
