Mayor of Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel, Ataser, Announces Start of Stream Clearing in Geçitköy

Mayor of Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel, Fırat Ataser, announced on his social media account that stream clearing work has begun in Geçitköy. Mayor Ataser highlighted that the stream beds, stretching a total of 4 kilometers, have not been cleaned since 1974 and have reached a point where they rise up to four meters, obstructing bridge entrances.

Ataser stated, “We are clearing these stream routes through a collaboration between the Water Works Department and the municipality. We have a lot of work ahead of us and a heavy load to bear, but we will succeed together.”

It was noted that work in the area is ongoing, with a comprehensive cleaning plan being implemented.
