
Mesarya Municipality is set to host its first-ever International Culture, Arts, and Sports Festival from October 7–11, featuring a diverse program ranging from folk dances to concerts.
Festival details were announced at a press conference at the Union of Turkish Cypriot Municipalities. Mayor Ahmet Latif said the event will span the communities of Akdoğan, Paşaköy, Vadili, İnönü, Aslanköy, Dörtyol, Turunçlu, and Korkuteli, adding that it will bring new social and cultural energy to the region.
Highlighting the international scope of the festival, Latif said Cyprus’s folk dances and traditions would be showcased globally: “The heart of Mesarya will beat at this festival.”
Festival Committee Chair and President of the Turkish Cypriot Folk Dance Federation, Özlem Kadirağa, confirmed that folk dance groups from Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, Iran, and Algeria will participate.
