Met Department: Rain is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday

The Meteorology Department announced that rain is expected in some areas today and tomorrow, while temperatures are predicted to rise to 35°C from midweek onwards.

The department also issued a warning for gale-force winds of level 7 at sea.

The Meteorology Department released its weekly forecast report.

According to the report, scattered showers or thunderstorms are expected at noon on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The report also stated that the highest air temperature during the first half of the period will range between 28-31°C in inland areas, while in the second half it will increase by about 4 degrees, ranging between 32-35°C.

Additionally, the Meteorology Department issued a warning for gale-force winds of level 7, expected to continue until 3pm Wednesday.

In a statement from the Meteorology Department, it was noted that winds blowing from the south and west over the Taurus and Crusade sea regions are expected to strengthen over time, reaching a level 7 intensity and taking the form of gale-force winds.
