Metrobuses collided

In Istanbul’s Küçükçekmece district, a collision between metrobuses resulted in 12 people being injured, three of them critically. Firefighters, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

The accident occurred when a metrobus heading towards Beylikdüzü lost control in the Sefaköy area and collided with an oncoming metrobus from the side. The vehicle then skidded and hit the barriers.

Emergency services arrived promptly, with firefighters rescuing two people trapped under the metrobus.According to initial reports, the accident resulted in 12 injuries, three of which are severe. The injured were given first aid by medical teams and then transported to nearby hospitals.

The metrobuses involved in the crash sustained damage, including broken windows and damage to the front and interior of the vehicles. Passengers who were not injured are attempting to reach the bus stops on foot.As a result of the accident, services on both directions of the metrobüs line have been suspended, leading to long vehicle queues and high passenger density.
