Midterm break ends

Primary and Secondary students returned to their classrooms today marking the end of the midterm break.

A total of 62,000 students took their seats in classrooms as the school bell rang—28,000 in primary schools, 30,000 in middle and high schools, and 4,000 in vocational schools.

The first term of the 2024-25 academic year, which began on September 23, ended on January 31 with the distribution of report cards.

The second term will conclude on June 16.

Meanwhile, 6,300 teachers working in public and private schools also returned to their classrooms today.

According to information obtained from the Ministry of National Education, approximately 28,000 students are enrolled in 128 schools under the Directorate of Primary Education, around 30,000 students are attending 48 schools under the Directorate of General Secondary Education and approximately 4,000 vocational high school students are studying in 13 schools under the Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education.

Additionally, around 450 students are receiving education in Apprenticeship and Adult Education Centres.
