The 3rd minimum wage of the year has been determined.
The employers’ side did not attend the meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission to determine the new minimum wage which will come into effect as of September 1st.
After a 40 minute meeting it was announced that the new minimum wage has been set.
Speaking to the press after the meeting, Minister of Labour and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu stated that with the consensus of the parties participating in the meeting, it was decided to reflect a 19.19 percent Cost of Living increment on the new minimum wage and announced the new figures as 233.28 TL per hour, 1,866.27 TL per day, 9 thousand 331.38 TL per week and 40 thousand 436 TL per month gross.
The minimum wage is now 35 thousand 180 TL net. brt
