Minister Ataoğlu issues message to commemorate Atatürk

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu issued a message on November 10, Atatürk Memorial Day, emphasizing that the day is not only for remembrance but also for reflecting on Atatürk’s ideas, the values of the Republic, and the spirit of independence.

In his message, Minister Ataoğlu commemorated Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, on the 87th anniversary of his passing.

He described Atatürk as not only a great leader who changed the destiny of a nation but also a statesman who shaped the course of world history.

Ataoğlu said Atatürk’s vision, determination, and courage continue to inspire people today, adding that “to remember Atatürk is not merely to maintain a tradition, but to keep his ideas alive and pass them on to future generations.”,

He noted that Atatürk’s legacy carries great significance for the Turkish Cypriot people, who continue to follow his principles and reforms on the path of freedom, justice, and modernity.

Ataoğlu concluded that the Turkish Cypriot people remain committed to the core principles of the Republic and will keep working to build a stronger future for the next generations. brt
