Occupational health and safety

Occupational health and safety inspections in the tourism sector are ongoing.

Participating in inspections conducted in the Bafra region, Minister of Labour and Social Security, Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, expressed satisfaction that no issues had been found during the four weeks of inspections.

Stressing the importance of occupational health and safety, Gardiyanoğlu stated that inspections would continue to be carried out more frequently.

Inspectors from the Department of Labor, under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, continue their inspections in the tourism sector.

Minister of Labour and Social Security, Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, and Director of the Department of Labour, Sezgi Çobanoğlu Ballı, accompanied hotel inspections in the Bafra region.

Following the inspections, Minister Gardiyanoğlu recalled that after the fire disaster in Bolu Kartalkaya, he had instructed all hotels to be inspected for fire safety measures and occupational health and safety precautions, noting that the inspections began with five-star hotels.

Expressing satisfaction that no issues had been found so far, he stated that inspections would be gradually completed for all hotels.

“This is about ensuring peace of mind for our people and demonstrating the seriousness of our tourism sector. It is also a message to the world,” Gardiyanoğlu said, adding that inspections would continue uninterrupted in sectors with the highest number of workplace accidents.

He highlighted that despite an increase in the number of workplaces in the country, the same team of inspectors had conducted more than double the usual number of inspections.

Stressing the importance of occupational health and safety, Minister Gardiyanoğlu stated that inspections would become even more frequent. brt
