The outbound lane of the Nicosia–Kyrenia main road will be closed for approximately one month starting Saturday due to road construction and repair works, the Highways Department has announced.
According to the statement, the works are being carried out within the framework of the Highway Master Plan. From today until January 20, the two outbound lanes of the Nicosia–Kyrenia main road, from the Gönyeli roundabout toward Kyrenia, will be closed to traffic.
During this period, traffic will be controlled in both directions using the two inbound lanes toward Nicosia.
Drivers using this section of the road are urged to proceed with caution, reduce speed, and strictly follow traffic signs and signals to ensure the safety of all road users.
