
Participating in the 14th General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States held in Kazakhstan, Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler evaluated his meetings and the outcomes of the assembly during an interview with BRT.
Appearing on a program on BRT the Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler described the visit to Kazakhstan as a historic first and a turning point, emphasizing the significance of steps taken to strengthen unity among Turkic nations.
He stated that the meeting focused on enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation among member states and acting jointly on regional issues.
Öztürkler noted that the discussions were not merely symbolic but result-oriented.
Commenting on Israel’s attacks on Iran and the stance of South Cyprus, Öztürkler said, “The Greek Cypriots are clearly playing with fire. This open support to Israel not only threatens regional peace but also makes the Turkish Cypriot side a target.”
