Prime Minister Ünal Üstel stated that they condemned the practices of the Greek Cypriot administration of South Cyprus that are targeting individuals on the issue of property and said, “The state and government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) stands behind every title deed given.”
“Those who invest in the TRNC and those who want to invest in the TRNC should be comfortable,” said Üstel.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel evaluated the Greek Cypriot administration’s practices on the property issue.
He condemned the Greek Cypriot Administration’s intimidation movements that started to target individuals on the property issue and turned into a violation of human rights.
Stating that they are closely following the developments that are taking place, Üstel said, “These intimidation movements aimed at sabotaging the development of the TRNC economy are nothing but an effort to block the investments coming to our country.”
Üstel noted that on the one hand, they are taking initiatives in the international arena and on the other hand, they are working with expert lawyers to eliminate these unlawful practices.
Stating that they are in constant consultation with the representatives of the construction sector in this process, the Prime Minister invited those who invest in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and those who want to do so to be at ease.
“The state and government of the TRNC stand behind every title deed given. It should not be forgotten that all deeds are under our state guarantee as per the constitution. In summary, we stand behind every title deed and every investment made under our country’s laws” said Üstel.
He added that the Greek Cypriot administration will never be able to intimidate the Turkish Cypriot People.
