The foundation of the Maraş Health Centre, which will be built with the contributions of the Turkish Embassy in Lefkoşa and the Republic of Turkiye Development and Economic Cooperation Office KEİ was laid with a ceremony on Tuesday.
The centre is expected to be put into service in the first months of 2025.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Yasin Erkem Serim, Minister of Health Hakan Dinçyürek, Minister of Interior Dursun Oğuz and other officials attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
In his speech at the ceremony Prime Minister Ünal Üstel noted that they are working in harmony with the Republic of Türkiye to provide services in all areas.
Stating that after taking office, they focused on projects such as Ercan Airport, which had been idle for many years, highways and village roads, Üstel also explained the value given to the field of health.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek also attended the inauguration ceremony of the Newborn Intensive Care unit at the Gazimağusa State Hospital.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Üstel underlined that all deficiencies in the country will be eliminated in 2025 and stated that they will continue their efforts to further improve health services.
