Prime Minister Ünal Üstel visited the 2nd Turkic States Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum and Fair held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
During his visit, Prime Minister Üstel highlighted the strong participation of Turkish Cypriot firms, describing it as a clear reflection of the private sector’s strong support for integration with the Turkic World.
Addressing the press, Prime Minister Üstel called on the business communities of Turkic countries: “Let’s produce together, export together, and grow together. As we unite the potential of the Turkic states, we all stand to gain.”
The forum and fair, organised under the umbrella of the Organisation of Turkic States, brought together representatives from across the Turkic world to strengthen economic integration. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) participated with a large delegation of private sector representatives.
Üstel visited the booths of both TRNC firms and those from other Turkic countries, receiving information about their products and services.
He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, as well as TRNC Ambassador to Baku Ufuk Turganer.
The TRNC delegation also included Prime Ministry Chief Advisor and BRTK Board Chair Özdemir Tokel, Prime Ministry Chief of Staff İlgen Bağcıer, and Press and Public Relations Director Ümral Volkan.
Speaking to the media during the event, Üstel underlined that this was more than a trade fair—it was a platform shaping the common future of the Turkic world.
He emphasised that the Turkic states are a united family not only through historical and cultural ties, but also through trade, investment, industry, and technology.
Üstel expressed his pleasure that the next editions of the Turkic States Business Forum and Fair will be held in Uzbekistan and then in the TRNC.
He said, “We proudly declare that North Cyprus will become a hub not only in tourism but also in trade and investment. We invite the entire Turkic world to the international forum we will host.”
