In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Police Organization and Police Week, Acting President and Speaker of the Parliament Zorlu Töre met with Police Chief Kasım Kuni and his delegation.
Töre affirmed their commitment to addressing the needs and shortcomings of the police force.
Speaking during the meeting, the Acting President and Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre praised the police force for its long-standing history and significant contributions to the safety and security of the Turkish Cypriot people.
He emphasized that the services provided by the police benefit everyone in the country, regardless of their status.
Töre expressed satisfaction with the efforts of the police and reiterated their dedication to doing everything possible to address any deficiencies.
“The TRNC Police Force has continued to develop up to this day. As the Parliament, we will do our part to resolve any shortages in both personnel and equipment,” Töre stated.
Police Chief Kasım Kuni for his part reiterated the police force’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of the public.
He assured that the Police Organization remains steadfast in its mission to ensure public safety.
This meeting marks a reaffirmation of the government’s support for the police force and their continued efforts to enhance public safety and security in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).brt
