President Ersin Tatar received the Azerbaijan Victory Martyrs’ Families Association and children of the martyrs.
Speaking during the visit the President said that he was very pleased to receive such welcomed guests and noted that relations between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Azerbaijan were developing with every passing day.
President Ersin Tatar received the visiting delegation from Azerbaijan’s Victory Martyrs Families Association and the martyrs children at the presidential palace.
Speaking during the visit the President touched upon the recent developments taking place between Azerbaijan and the TRNC and noted that the relations between the two countries have reached an important point with the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the support of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Pointing out that the development of trade and political relations between Turkic states has become even more important in the globalizing world for the strengthening of Turkic unity as “one nation, three states”, President Tatar noted that especially the acquaintance of young people with each other plays an important role in strengthening ties.
He expressed happiness at the improved relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, and acknowledged the support and instructions of President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye.
President Tatar also expressed solidarity with Azerbaijan during the Karabakh war, stating that the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of lands would always be remembered.
He commended the work of the Azerbaijan Victory Martyrs’ Families Association and stressed the importance of collaboration between associations to strengthen friendship between countries.
President Tatar concluded by affirming their commitment to working together for the success of Turkic unity.
The Association paid a similar visit to the Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre.
speaking during the visit Töre gave messages of unity and solidarity.
He also underlined that Azerbaijan has taken important steps in recognizing the TRNC.
