President Ersin Tatar congratulated Ziya Öztürkler, who was elected as the Speaker of the Parliament.
In his message, Tatar said, “I sincerely congratulate Ziya Öztürkler, who was elected Speaker of the Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic’s Assembly, which is the foundation of the Turkish Cypriot people’s struggle for freedom and independence, and wish him success in his work. May this be beneficial for our country and our esteemed assembly.”
Tatar also stressed that he believed the Republic’s Assembly, under Ziya Öztürkler’s leadership, will work in the best interests of the people and in line with the adopted national policy regarding Cyprus.
The President expressed his pleasure at learning that discussions on the 2025 budget will begin after Ziya Öztürkler’s election as Speaker and wished success to all members of Parliament in their budget discussions.brt
